Operation Lifesaver, Inc. home page named an Official Webby Award Honoree for 2011

WASHINGTON, DC, April 15, 2011 - The home page http://www.oli.org of Operation Lifesaver, Inc., the U.S.-based nonprofit rail safety education organization, was named a 15th Annual Webby Awards Official Honoree in the category of Best Welcome/Home Page.

“We are pleased with this recognition, because we redesigned the www.oli.org website late last year to reach new audiences in our mission to prevent tragic deaths and injuries around train tracks,” said Operation Lifesaver President Helen M. Sramek.  “Our goal with the home page design was to use videos, photographs and stories of real families to ensure that visitors come away with a safety message,” noted Sramek.
