Special Events Statistics
In addition to offering free safety presentations to schools and community groups and conducting specialty training for school bus drivers, professional truck drivers, law enforcement officers, and emergency responders, every year Operation Lifesaver representatives disseminate safety awareness materials to the public by participating in special events around the U.S.
From 2002-2008, OL volunteers participated in more than 21,000 special events nationwide, reaching combined audiences of more than 26 million people.
